JOINING THE MONROEVILLE CHORUS It is indeed a privilege to belong to the Chorus. We sing at many places that are inspirational to groups and senior residences. Dianne Runser, our director, and Doug Skalka, our accompanist, are as professional as you can get. Our Chorus is like a big family and we care for each other. If you like to sing, come join the Chorus. PROCESS FOR JOINING THE CHORUS First of all, you must like to sing. You can get a feel for how the Chorus operates by attending one of our practices. We normally hold practice the first and third Mondays of the month. For the first three (3) practices, that you attend, you will be issued a temporary music folder. After the third practice you will be issued a permanent music folder if you decide to join. You will also be provided a Chorus uniform/costume suitable for performing in our scheduled programs. Solos are available from time to time for those members who are interested. Diane is an excellent director. She asks the members to pay strict attention to her direction. The overall value of the performance is a product of all the members doing their part. Practice location is at the Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Monroeville, PA. We meet at the Parish House directly in front of the church. We meet at 7:00 P.M. on Monday evenings. Map for practice location is above. Below is a copy of the membership By-laws. You need to read these over to make yourself knowledgeable of the rules governing the Chorus. GOOD SINGING
